Ultimate Storage have offered a full repair service on a huge range of tape drives, tape autoloaders and tape libraries since 1997. Many fortune 100 companies have utilised our fast and efficient service, and taken full advantage of our comprehensive full 12 month guarantee on nearly all our repairs.* (We operate some exclusions due to age of product) Ultimate Storage also operates a full service centre, including repairs, maintenance and upgrades for the entire range of QNAP products.
Our repairs service is based on a fixed price model and this covers nearly all manufacturers and virtually all models. QNAP repairs include all parts except the hard drives, if faulty hard drives are found you will have the option of direct replacements or upgrading to larger capacity hard drives if available. All QNAP repairs include firmware upgrades to the latest release. No QNAP repairs include the recovery or restoration of data, these services may be available although they will be chargeable and repair turnaround will take longer. No data recovery services, restoration are guaranteed for any product, and Ultimate Storage accepts no liability for any data loss however caused in the process of repairing / examining any product. Our comprehensive tape drive repairs service covers all parts (excluding the head assembly) and labour. If any tape unit requires a new head assembly you will be advised of the additional charge. No Tape Media recovery service is offered, and any tape media recovered will be destroyed or returned in the same state as recovered from any equipment returned.
Fixed price repairs exclude any unit that has physical damage, or any unit that has multiple failures that make it beyond economical repair. If you decide that you wish to have any equipment returned without being repaired for any reason there is a fixed charge of £25 + the return delivery charge. This charge excludes our standard charge of £19 for replacement packaging should it be deemed that this is required. Any equipment not authorised by an official PO or paid for in full within a period of 14 days of notification of charges by Ultimate Storage will be subject to a storage charge (charge varies due to equipment size). All equipment not covered by a PO or paid for in full after a period of 90 days will be destroyed.
If for any reason we cannot make a repair turnaround within the gold level 24 hour period then the silver charge will apply. The silver service level turnaround is a guide only and this period can be longer under certain circumstances.
