Candle Magic combines the element of fire with the energy and symbolism of colour.
Techniquely there is no 'colour' because colour is pure light vibrating at different frequencies on the colour spectrum. So we have the colour we all recognise as red, and then we have what is termed 'infra-red' which is literally a frequency that vibrates below red, this is used frequently to promote healing with the use of infra-red lamps
When considering the significance and meaning of colour we need to study it for a while and write down what each colour makes us think of, or how it makes us feel
Red for example.
What does the colour red represents to us, what is it's symbolic significance?
Red is used on traffic warning signs, danger signs, it is used on sports cars, it's a colour of both danger and excitement, speed and quick thinking, lust and passion
When we consider the colour blue and where we see it used we realise it is associated with trust, healing, dependability, calm, tranquility.
Look at a nurses or policemans uniform, our blue road signs which give information rather than warnings.
When we begin to look at the psychology of colour we start to understand the energy of colour. A very well known fast food chain uses red and orange in their decor, the seats and tables are in red and orange. This promotes eating fast, not wanting to 'hang around', 'fast food'
