What Are Eyelets?

Eyelets are metal embellishments that are used to fasten and decorate many crafting projects.  Eyelets were originally made in standard circular shapes, but within recent years they have come to take on many unique custom designs for the crafting industry.  At Home For Eyelets, we strive to create eyelet designs to fit all of life's many journeys.  Here are some suggested uses for eyelets:

How to Set Eyelets?

1. Begin by placing your paper/card/tag face up onto a Craft Mat.

2. Using your hole punch tool and hammer, tap the hammer on the top of the hole punch to make a hole for the eyelet in the location of choice on the paper.

3. Place your eyelet of choice into the hole with the design side facing up. 

4. Hold the eyelet in place with your fingers and turn the paper/card/tag over so that the back of the eyelet is now showing.

5. Place the paper/card/tag with the eyelet still inserted face down on the Craft Mat.

6. Take the eyelet setter tool and insert it into the back of the eyelet.

7. While holding the eyelet setter tool in place, take the hammer and tap the top of the setter a few times to splay the back side of the eyelet out.

8. Congratulations, you've just set an eyelet!
