Frequently Asked Questions Please refer to our FAQ page. Order and Payment Please note: Acceptance of payment does not constitute acceptance of an order. Gorgeous Guineas reserve the right to reject an order for whatever reason, even if payment has been processed, in which case payment will be refunded in full. Acceptance of an order is at the sole discretion of Gorgeous Guineas.
o Orders will be accepted via the website or by post (by post for UK ONLY, not international orders).
o Orders from outside the UK can only be paid for using PayPal unless you have a UK bank account.
o Goods will be shipped when payment is received in full.
o Where payment is made by cheque, all goods remain the property of Gorgeous Guineas until the funds have cleared.
o Payment can be made by PayPal, Nochex (UK customers only) or Cheque (UK bank account only).
o Orders are all sent via First Class / Second Class Recorded within the UK, and via Airmail to the rest of the world.
o Once packets have been posted, we have no control over what happens to them.
Postage charges from March 2013 are as follows:
o UK 1st Class Recorded £4.35 flat rate
o UK 2nd Class Recorded 3.95 flat rate
o Within Europe: £3.00 per order + 28p per 50gms, calculated by the Shopping Cart.
o Australia / New Zealand: £3.95 + 50p per 50gms, calculated by the Shopping Cart.
o USA / Canada / Rest Of The World: £3.50 per order + 50p per 50gms, calculated by the Shopping Cart.
o International Signed For + £5.30 per order.
PLEASE NOTE: if you do NOT choose to add International Signed For to your order, we have no way of tracking it. Claims for lost orders cannot be put in to the Royal Mail until 25 days after the goods have been posted.
Postage and Packaging o We aim to post your products within 2 working days of receiving your order. If there is going to be a delay, we will let you know. A confirmation email will be sent to you when your order has been posted.
UK ORDERS
o Orders within the UK are sent via First or Second Class "Signed For", so you should normally receive your products within 5 days of posting. Please notify us if you do not receive your goods within this time.
o If you are OUT when the Royal Mail try to deliver your package, they will leave a card as a signature is required on delivery.
o PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU COLLECT YOUR PACKAGE WITHIN ONE WEEK, OTHERWISE IT WILL BE RETURNED TO US. If this happens and we need to post the order out for a second time, there will ba an additional charge for postage.
o If your order is damaged when you receive it, please let us know within 2 working days. Any damaged goods / packaging MUST be kept in case they need to be inspected as part of the claim for compensation.
o Once your order has been posted it is the responsibility of the Royal Mail to deliver it.
o ROYAL MAIL DOES NOT CONSIDER A PACKAGE TO BE LOST UNTIL 15 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF POSTING.
REST OF THE WORLD
o Orders to Europe are usually delivered within 3-5 days of posting, and for the rest of the world, it takes 7-10 days, sometimes longer depending on Customs.
o For orders outside the UK, the recipient is responsible for paying any additional charges / duties / taxes etc. Gorgeous Guineas are only responsible for paying the postage costs.
o Gorgeous Guineas obtain a Proof Of Posting for each order.
o Unless you add International Signed For to your order, there is no way of tracking it.
o If an order is lost or damaged, Gorgeous Guineas will put in a claim for compensation from the Royal Mail.
o If your order is damaged when you receive it, please let us know within 2 working days. Any damaged goods / packaging MUST be kept in case they need to be inspected as part of the claim for compensation.
o ROYAL MAIL DOES NOT CONSIDER A PACKAGE TO BE LOST UNTIL 25 DAYS FTER THE DATE OF POSTING.
Returns Policy o We do our best to provide accurate descriptions of our products. If you wish to return unused and unopened item to us, please notify us by email: info@gorgeousguineas.com Please state the reason for return.
o We will contact you to refund your money (less postage costs) once we receive the returned goods. Goods are returned at your own expense.
o You have a statutory duty to take reasonably care of the products while they are in your posession and to ensure that the goods are properly packaged so that they do not get damaged in transit.
o Please return the unused and unopened goods in the original packaging and obtain a Proof Of Posting and receipt for the postage cost from your Post Office. We cannot accept responsibility for returns lost in the post.
Cancellations
o Under the Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel your order. This cancellation right ends 7 working days after the day on which you receive your order.
o If you wish to cancel your order, please notify us by email: info@gorgeousguineas.com Full refunds will be porcessed within 30 days.
o When you cancel a contract you must return the goods to us if the have already been posted out to you.
