Big Black Bug (Dorysthenes Walkeri)

Description:

Dorysthenes Walkeri beetles are giant bugs commonly found throughout South East Asia and Thailand. Their bodies are a dark reddish brown to black in color with long mandibles that curve slightly downward. The male Walkeri beetle has a long head with very unusual jaws. They are such a hardy beetle species that you can see the adults flying in the rain and then walking rapidly on the ground after they have landed.
